Calcium Fluoride (CaF₂) IR Window for Liquid Sample Testing
Product Description
Calcium fluoride (CaF₂) is an optical crystal material with a broad
transmission range from approximately 0.13 μm to 10 μm. It provides
good optical transmission, low stress birefringence and high refractive
index uniformity.
CaF₂ also offers stable mechanical properties, resistance to
deliquescence and good resistance to radiation damage. These properties
make it suitable for infrared spectroscopy, optical windows, prisms,
lenses and other optical components.
In infrared spectroscopy, CaF₂ windows can be used for mid-infrared
analysis in the approximate wavenumber range of 7800–350 cm⁻¹.
The maximum available CaF₂ crystal diameter is approximately 375 mm.
